Our Time in the Sun
OUR TIME IN THE SUN chronicles the struggle between violence and the law in the Arizona Territory of l903. Elliott, a seasoned, 50-year-old Ranger, leads his men against outlaws and cattle rustlers while trying to come to terms with his own sordid past. He becomes a mentor to young Joaquin Campbell, and eager, young novice Ranger willing to follow Elliott anywhere. The novel focuses not only on action but also explores the bonds between men, the extent to which love and forgiveness can heal old wounds, and the roots of hate and racism in the then deeply divided Arizona Territory.
